South East Locality Improvement Plan

1 Aug 2017

Take this survey to have your say on the improvement plan for the South East Locality

The South East Locality Improvement Plan aims to improve the quality of life of local residents and to make our communities even better places to live and work.  It sets out actions that will be taken forward over the next 5 years to tackle poverty, inequality and other issues that affect our residents’ quality of life.  These actions will be undertaken in partnership with local people and other public sector partners.  These include the City of Edinburgh Council; Police Scotland; Scottish Fire & Rescue Service; NHS; Health & Social Care; University of Edinburgh; Edinburgh College and the voluntary sector.

The outcomes and actions set out within this plan have been developed following conversations with local people throughout the area about their needs, priorities and aspirations; along with local knowledge of those who work and provide services here.  Before this plan is finalised, we are asking for views on whether these actions will make a difference to the quality of life of residents.  The South East is made up of the following wards: Liberton Gilmerton; Morningside; City Centre and Southside Newington.  If you live in one of these areas we would ask that you give some consideration to the outcomes and actions proposed in the plan and tell us what you think.
